I am looking out of the window, its a bright and sunny day.
"Its fresh and lovely" - I say.
With a bright blue sky and silver light
The air is crisp, the sun shines high.
My day goes well,its all set and planned
There is nothing that can go wrong, there is not a chance
I meet my friends, and bounce with joy
As I am pretty sure that I am bound to enjoy.
Everything is perfect, I can't ask for more
Is this true happiness? - I can't long for more
Things go well and I can't complain
This has been too good - I think in vain.
Sitting in the train, coming back home
I see people wearing raincoats all dripping and forlon.
A chill passes through me, as the thought hits me
was it raining after all? I could'nt see...
I checked the papers and it was true,
It was pouring earlier - all black and blue.
I saw the puddles on the road and I pinched my hand
I could not comprehend - too difficult to understand.
It was then I realised, the power of the mind
All thoughts positive, could stop the rain!!!
I woke up - an optimist, with all good thoughts
And the day was as I wanted,nothing to retort.
The mind is so powerful, so all think well
Alls for good and alls well..
Now nothing can stop me have a bright day
In the mid of the winter when its dark and grey.
For all those who are wondering what this piece of random scribbling is, well, it is supposed to be my first poem, the one I wrote in 10 minutes,just before I have to rush off outside.So guys please limit your critical views(Its an ameturish attempt)...
However, I wrote this for a very special person in my life,who is just in need of something like this.He will understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rapsy, to start with, let me tell you this no way looks like an amateur attempt. But knowing it is one, i should really appreciate the effort and am amazed with the poem.
Yes you have dug deep into my brains and made me realise 'After all what you need daily is confidence more than anything'
The special person whom you have aimed this at has definitely got the message and yes you have made a difference to his today and tomorrow :) Cheesy it may sound, but that's the truth.
Keep going and yes you motivate atleast me. So keep writing and hope many would benefit.....

Rash, your first attempt at poetry is superb. Another nature poet William Wordsworth in making. Nature is so beautiful that only a beautiful and orderly mind can bring out its beauty with such telling effect. We would like you to come out with many such poems on beautiful natural scenes of London

Great Gundamma, I am totally sold out with your Philosophy and have been practicing the same. Even in my days of Gloom, which you are well aware of, I never gave up and lead a happy life. This attempt indded is too good to be the first one and reflects of things to come. Keep it up dear, I am proud of you.
